Admissions Requirements
Butte College admits all high school graduates or the equivalent, and any persons 18 years of age or over who are capable of benefiting from the instruction offered. High school non-graduates who are over 18 years of age shall be admitted provisionally. Other K-12 students who have the permission of their principal, counselor, and a parent/guardian, may be eligible for admission. Students who meet the eligibility requirements for admission must submit an Application for Admission on-line through CCC Apply prior to registration. K-12 students must also complete and submit a Dual Enrollment or Concurrent Enrollment Permission Form to the School Relations Office. Forms are available at the high school counseling offices or online at pjawqy8d.web-sitemap.39680a.com/highschool.
It is the policy of this district that, unless specifically exempted by statute, every course, course section and class, in which attendance is reported for state aid, wherever offered and maintained by the District, is fully open to enrollment and participation by any person who has been admitted to the College and who meets such prerequisites as may be established pursuant to regulations contained in Article 1 (commencing with section 55000) of Subchapter 1 of Chapter 6 of Division 6 of title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
Note: In Accordance with The Higher Education Act of 1965 and the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), Butte-Glenn Community College District is prohibited from recruiting and enrolling students residing in other States.
